Air Conditioning & Ventilation Service
The air conditioning system is designed to keep you and your passengers comfortable by removing heat and humidity from interior vehicle air and transferring it to the exterior air. The many components of the A/C system: compressor, condenser, evaporator, pressurized refrigerant, valves, switches, seals, o-rings, gaskets and hoses must be in peak condition in order to operate efficiently and keep you cool. In high heat or humid weather any slight performance issue with the a/c system will result in a lack of cooling or intermittent warm air from the vents. The A/C system must be free from refrigerant leaks in order to operate at maximum efficiency with the specified refrigerant capacity.
Although modern mobile air conditioning systems are very well designed and resistant to leaks they are not completely leak proof. Due to age and wear and tear on components, leaks can occur which will reduce cooling performance of the A/C system.
The most common cause of cooling loss is when the refrigerant leaks through worn seals and o-rings, loose fittings and connections. To make sure all the parts and components of your A/C system are working properly, we recommend having your A/C system checked at the beginning of the warm season.
Your service advisor can recommend an A/C Performance Check to test for any worn hoses or seals, leaks or contamination and to make sure your vehicle is ready to keep you cool when the warm weather arrives.
You can be assured that we will take great care to protect the environment while we are servicing the system. Masterwerks has the latest A/C recovery, recharge and recycling equipment and trained personnel to inspect and repair your vehicle's A/C system for top performance.
